| This is paper, glued-up clippings of newspapers collected from all over the world, all dealing with "that ol' same thing." In Thai, Georgian, Hebrew, Arabic, English and Japanese. Displayed in The Nude Show 1993. | Inspired by the maskmakers of Vittorio, Italy who make Carnevale masks in the spirit of 'arte povera' -- cheap materials. They paint over their newsprint paper laminates. Met when they visited Memphis as part of Memphis in May in 1991. |
